Neighbors In The Military

Chester L. Raker - Strathcoma

Late 1950's - U.S. Army

Spent time at White Sands Missile Range testing surface to surface missiles. Then was assigned to the Pentagon where he was involved with programming the first simulations computer programs for Air Force Intelligence.

Clifford H. Park - former Wismar neighbor

Served in the 104th - Timberwolf Infantry Division in Europe in World War II - Past President of Division

Has given talks to classes and school assemblies for over 18 years. Is a volunteer at the Holacaust Museum at the Hebrew Union College as a member of a liberating army division.

Also speaks to adult groups on the 'Four Chaplains of World War II', which is very informative and inspirational.

A member of Amvets, American Legion, V.F.W. and Hyde Park Lodge 589 for 50 years. Also a Commissioner on the Veterans Service Commission.
